Between August 25 and December 17, 2020, he was a patient of Dr. Riley J. Williams. The nature of the surgery is still unknown. The doctor's profile on the hospital's website, however, indicates that he is a knee, shoulder, and elbow expert.
Trevor had an emergency appendectomy in 2015, in addition to this one.

Trevor Noah has filed a lawsuit against New City Hospital and Dr. Riley J. Williams, an orthopaedic surgeon.
He is suing them for a procedure he had on November 23, 2020.

A hospital spokesperson, on the other hand, addressed the charges and dismissed them as unfounded. The comedian's attorney got the complaint, and HSS responded with a response. HIPAA prevents them from discussing certain parts of a patient's therapy with the general public.
