Linda Ricchio was a former student at San Diego State University who was accused of following her ex-boyfriend for months.

According to stories, she met Ronald Lewis Ruse Jr. in the early 1980s at a car dealership where they both worked.

Ron worked as a mechanic, while Linda worked at the front desk. They started dating in September 1980 and were living together by September 1980. She continued her education at San Diego State University, where she majored in photography.

While the relationship started out well, with both of them content, Linda's insatiable want to be with him at all times drove Ron to distraction. As a result, he decided to leave and rented a house without telling her.

Linda Ricchio was dubbed the "Fatal Attraction Killer" after murdering Ron Ruse, a man she had dated for years.

This case is included in the Investigation Discovery show 'Deadly Women: Tainted Love,' as one of three murders investigated.

It's the storey of a dumped girlfriend who spent months following her ex-boyfriend around, refusing to let him go on with his life.

On December 14, 1987, Linda shot Ron twice outside his apartment with a.38 calibre revolver.

She is accused of stalking her ex-boyfriend for months, renting an apartment next door, and then fatally shooting him after he refused to revive their relationship.

Linda Ricchio's current whereabouts is unknown.


According to jail records, Linda Ricchio is currently incarcerated at the California Institution for Women in Chino, Riverside County.

In June 1989, she was found guilty of first-degree murder. She was sentenced to a minimum of 27 years in jail and a maximum of life in prison.

Linda's parole has been denied on several occasions throughout the years. In exchange for conceding that she was unfit for parole, she agreed to skip a parole hearing in 2019. Ron's father was pleased with the outcome, but his child's anguish endures to this day.
