Cliff also stated that the machines abruptly shut down during his operation, resulting in a major complication that required extensive treatment. Inability to execute the work adequately resulted in the operation being declared a failure.

He alleges that after the treatment was eventually done after 13 hours, the doctor projected that he would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
