Jessica, 24, died immediately after the accident, and her daughter, who was injured in the accident, died as a result of her injuries later that day, on May 27.

It was a drag race between the Mustang and a 2015 gold Nissan piloted by John Barrineau. Following the crash, the police detained two of the drivers and one of the Mustang's passengers, Tristan Herrin.
