Douglas had graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration. Furthermore, the late Douglas had planned to marry his high school sweetheart, with whom he had been in a relationship for ten years at the time of his death.

Also disclosed was that Douglas was a respectable young man who had previously purchased a property during his undergraduate years, according to Nick.
