Is Kyle Rittenhouse out on bail? Learn about his sentencing as well as the status of his trial.

Kyle Rittenhouse, an Illinois teen, is accused of killing two Black Lives Matter protesters during a protest in Kenosha last summer.

Rittenhouse, who is now 18 years old, is charged with various charges, including murder, in connection with the disturbance that erupted after the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.

Is Kyle Rittenhouse Out On Bail? 

Kyle Rittenhouse has pled not guilty to all of the accusations and has been released on bail.

During the first month of his arrest, he was held in an Illinois juvenile detention institution as his attorneys attempted to prevent his extradition to Wisconsin.

Later, Rittenhouse was sent to the Kenosha Country Jail on Oct. 30 when that failed to work out. His legal team began requesting contributions for his defense through social media almost immediately after he was accused on August 27.  

Likewise, another country’s money rushed in. Despite spending a large portion of it on the failed extradition case, lawyers were able to raise $2 million to secure Rittenhouse’s release on November 20, 2020.

Rittenhouse has resided in secret locations in Indiana and Wisconsin since then. Prosecutors attempted to have him detained for failing to provide his exact address in the public court record, but the judge agreed that it was a safety issue and decided to have it kept under seal, with just a few authorities knowing about it.

Kyle Rittenhouse Sentence And Trial Update 

Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial is set to begin in Kenosha on November 1st.

A Wisconsin judge set the final ground rules for what evidence will be allowed when Kyle Rittenhouse goes on trial next week for shooting three people.

The defendant’s use of force expert and testimony about how police welcomed Rittenhouse and others carrying firearms during the demonstration will be admissible.

Moreover, the hearing was likely the final one before Rittenhouse goes on trial on November 1 for the gunfire that occurred during tumultuous protests in Kenosha on August 25, 202 for the gunfire occurred during tumultuous protests in Kenosha on August 25, 2020.

Who Did Kyle Rittenhouse Kill?

Kyle Rittenhouse killed Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz with an AR-15-style rifle. His lawyers claim he was acting in self-defense.

Rittenhouse is also accused of threatening the safety of a Daily Caller reporter who was filming from a nearby location when Rosenbaum was shot and an unidentified man Rittenhouse shot at as the man tried to kick him.
