Santos Alejandro Valladares was detained by investigators from the Union Country Sheriff's Office on October 6, 2021 (Wednesday) for his indecent conduct with pupils online.

He was charged with two charges of transmitting obscenities and three counts of communicating obscenities to a juvenile, according to investigators.

Valladares' arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation performed by the UCSO with help from the administration of Union Country Public Schools.

Alejandro Valladares formerly taught at Weddington High School. He was arrested for his online indecent conduct against pupils.

According to UCPS employees, he was engaging in inappropriate internet interactions with kids.

Valladares is 28 years old and has been employed with the UCPS since 2017. However, since September 28, the former Weddington teacher has been on administrative leave.

What Happened When a Union County High School Teacher Was Arrested?


Alejandro Valladares, a former Weddington High School teacher, was arrested for engaging in inappropriate internet activity with students.

According to investigators, he began and maintained contact with multiple children at the school through Snapchat. As was previously reported, he created and traded sexual material throughout the chats.

Sheriff Cathey noted in that instance that his detectives collaborated with UCPS administrative employees to discover and capture a criminal who sought to exploit the community's children. Additionally, the crew will be vigilant in preventing sexual exploitation.

Additionally, he recommends parents to discuss the hazards of social media applications with their children and teenagers and to monitor their accounts to ensure their safety.
